Christian Comics Pioneer and internationally known tract cartoonist Ron Wheeler offers lessons that include the basics of drawing, starting with realistic drawing and transitioning into cartooning.
Students learn how to sculpt cartoon heads with modeling clay and use that as a reference for drawing characters from different angles.
Students also gain preliminary information on how to create a comic strip.

COMIX35 offers seminars for Christian communicators who want to put comics to work in their evangelism and discipleship materials.
Seminars are very "hands-on" for students, with opportunities to create comic strips and tracts during class which can go into print immediately.
Sessions cover Identifying Your Audience, Plotting & Scripting, Storyboarding & Visual Storytelling, Editing/Art Directing, and Cultural, Communication, and Evangelism Strategy Considerations. (This is not an introductory "how to draw" class, although usually some art instruction is provided during each seminar.)
Almost 40 COMIX35 events have been held worldwide for more than 860 attendees representing 51 countries across Asia, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and the Americas.
